The progressive die is a special type of die that allows obtaining a well-defined product during the subsequent machining phases; starting from a sheet of metal, the product undergoes a series of cold machining operations: shearing, drilling, drawing and bending. The piece is detached from the die at the end of the production process.Progressive dies are suitable for very high production volumes and, therefore are suitable for producing large quantities of components. The use of a single die allows obtaining excellent results in terms of production speed and cost, guaranteeing a lower cost for each single piece.This particular type of die can be used on different types of presses, optimising the machining processes.
